Had a great day, the Splash! day turned out to a big hit for the kids and staff. I knew it probably would as we have these kinds of events all the time. Fortunately I was well rested. Got decent sleep last night. That helped with my latest recovery.
#69 - What were you really good at outside of school as a young adult? Did you pursue it, and how? |
Young adult? I was good at ghosting. Sliding through life, escaping the moment - especially school. I liked doing my own thing, not being around a lot of people. I was raised in a highly social environment (church). I'd much rather go on adventures since being at a desk or indoors can drive me insane. That kind of thing. I had no problem entertaining myself. My grandpa was the same way. A wanderer. A person carries that kind of energy? Well it's fun to be around them. As a young adult my first job was in sales. I was able to combine social ghost cycling.
Did I pursue it? Hmmm... I spent a lot of time as a creative fiction writer. That was taking the wandering behavior to a whole new level. Sometimes unhealthy to dive into so many dark holes. But honestly it helps me clear a lot of daily stress as that covers the introversion part of me. My career though -is highly extraversion. Behavior has to be modeled. Maintaining instructional control while under observational pressure? Would destroy an introvert.
It's a balance. Not always easy to maintain.
