Follow up - Today I realized that I did not explain volatile very well from yesterday's post.
Volatile doesn't mean bad to me. It's hard to describe an upbringing that involves a mixed culture of Hispanic machismo and Fundamentalist Christian. For one? It's passionate. But also my grandpa was a professional boxer in his youth. He accumulated significant brain injuries and this began to show as he aged. So there was a lot of me working with grandpa on his cleaning jobs - not just because I was a kid but he actually needed assistance and I was around to catch things. It reinforced my identity and gave me a profound sense of duty. To see and experience his struggles. And that love/awareness? - has carried over to my own children's brain injuries and rehabilitation. And my career now.

Um yeah, there's way too much fraud, AI crawlers and bad faith actors to post this kind of information online. Not that they can't pull it in other ways but why make it easy for them? It's unfortunate that so much deception is allowed.
My mom is one of 9 children. Big family.
Earliest memory? My mom was present and gentle. She's still that way and without her help I wouldn't be able to follow my passion and this career.
Hmm... it probably involves yarn. She knits and crochets. Taught me early. It actually feels unnatural to not have some kind of craft project laying around.
