#128 - Top 10 Time! Name ten people you call first when something major (good or bad) happens in your life and tell why they are your go-to guys. |
Another top ten list - I kind of like these but this one is embarassing for me. I don't use my phone that much. I lost so many people over the years, for various reasons - even my own choices but mainly it's boring being around a mom who is a caregiver. I'm not that fun vacation, new restaurant tester and media/music companion. I'm not up to date. Or something like that. I work with younger coworkers. They're all highly social. We don't really have phone call usage anymore. It's all chats. So to me, even though I'm out of date - so is this prompt.
And if you exist within a chat sphere - life is centralized. I work in a unique caregiving team environment that deals with behaviors. I've kind of noticed 'major' events don't make it into the chats but yet do occur in person. Not for sinister reasons but emergencies/protocols require quicker action. Emergent behaviors, it's volatile. There's nothing more frustrating than staring at a phone, needing a response - from an instant chat line even - and nothing. Far easier to split the team and pace the clinic. One of us is available to track down what is needed.
The last time I had a job - it was all emails. Big adjustment but also a completely different career. lol. Waiting for an email response now would damn near test any remaining patience I have left. I really enjoy this fast pace. It's such an adrenaline rush. It pairs well with writing too.
Oh I do know within my family, if there was some kind of medical issue, I'd be the first they call.
